Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Scam Sentinel, a Discord bot and related web services developed by SHADOW Technologies to help protect Discord communities from scams, abuse, and other harmful behavior. The service may monitor and analyze text, images, and voice-channel presence (not voice audio) in accordance with your server's configuration. By inviting, using, or paying for Scam Sentinel, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

  • You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the service.
  • You agree to use Scam Sentinel only in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • You agree not to abuse, circumvent, or exploit the bot or its infrastructure, including attempts to overload systems, evade detection, or use the service for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
  • Server owners and administrators are responsible for configuring the bot appropriately and for informing their members that the bot is in use and what it does.

3. Paid Plans and Subscriptions

  • Some features or usage limits may be subject to paid plans. Payment is processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of paid features is subject to the plan you select and any usage limits or caps described at the time of purchase.
  • We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or revoke access (including paid subscriptions) without refund where we reasonably believe you or your server has:
    • Abused the service or violated these terms;
    • Engaged in fraud, chargebacks, or misuse of payment methods;
    • Used the service in a way that harms other users, Discord, or our systems;
    • Or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the service or others.
  • Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy (if any) and applicable law. We do not guarantee refunds when access is revoked for cause.

4. Service Availability and Disclaimer

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scam Sentinel is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. SHADOW Technologies is not liable for losses or damages arising from downtime, configuration errors, third-party failures, or misuse of the bot.

5. Termination and Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke access to the bot or related services at any time, including for abuse, breach of these terms, or operational reasons. This may include removal from servers and termination of paid subscriptions without refund where revocation is for cause. You may stop using the service at any time. Cancellation of a paid subscription will typically take effect at the end of the current billing period, subject to the payment provider's and our systems' behavior.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes may be communicated via the service or your contact details where appropriate.
